Privacy Policy

Oxide is a fitness and nutrition app for gym members. This policy describes what data we collect, why, how it is stored, and your choices.

The core app is free. Oxide⁺ is an optional personal subscription that unlocks additional features. Oxide⁺ is billed through Google Play (on Android) and is separate from any membership or coaching fees you may pay your gym.

We do not sell your personal data.

We do not collect or store your payment card or bank account details. Google Play processes payments when you subscribe to Oxide⁺.

If you choose Oxide⁺:

• Payment: Handled by Google Play. We receive confirmation from Google (such as a purchase token and subscription status), not your card number.
• Entitlement: Verified on our servers (Supabase) so your premium access stays accurate across renewals, cancellations, and restores.
• Data stored: For active subscribers typically includes: which plan you bought (oxide_plus_monthly or oxide_plus_yearly), whether the subscription is active, grace period, or canceled-but-still-valid until period end, and the expiry time.
• Gym bundle: Some gyms may include Oxide⁺ for members through a separate gym agreement. That is not a Google Play subscription and is managed by your gym, not by this billing flow.

Canceling stops future charges; you may retain access until the end of the current billing period, as described by Google Play.

• On your device: Local database (Hive) for offline access and backups you control. Cached subscription status may be stored locally so premium features work briefly when offline after a successful server check.
• In the cloud: Supabase (hosted infrastructure) for account sync, gym data, coach-assigned plans when you are signed in, and Oxide⁺ subscription records when you subscribe.

Data is sent over HTTPS. Do not share your account password.

Third parties process data only as needed to provide these features. Review Google's Privacy Policy for Play Billing. Review other providers' policies if you use linked services.

The app may request:

• Notifications - Meal, workout, and step reminders
• Activity recognition - Step counting
• Camera - Scan gym join QR codes (not stored as photos)
• Exact alarms - Reliable local reminder scheduling on Android

You can deny permissions in system settings; some features may not work.

If your gym uses Oxide with coaching features, coaches at your gym may see fitness and nutrition data you log, consistent with your gym's practices. Ask your gym for their privacy practices.

Oxide⁺ does not change what your gym or coaches can see; it adds personal power-user features on your account.

• You may delete your account in the app: Settings → Delete Account. This removes your cloud profile when the server deletion function is enabled.
• Oxide⁺: Deleting your Oxide account does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription. Cancel the subscription in Google Play to avoid future charges. We delete or stop using subscription records tied to your account when your account is deleted, subject to short retention for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
• Local data on your device can be cleared by uninstalling the app or using in-app data controls where available.
• We may retain minimal logs required for security or legal compliance for a limited period.

Oxide is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Data may be processed in regions where our hosting providers operate. By using the app you consent to transfer as allowed by applicable law.

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
